Mary Izzo Wight, L.Ac.

Mary received her Master’s of Science from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City. She is licensed to practice acupuncture in New York State.

She specializes in Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM), a style of acupuncture that combines classical oriental theory with modern myofascial release techniques including trigger point therapy. It is a potent style that is capable of treating a great range of conditions, and generally requires less treatment than more common styles.

In APM theory, a patient’s lifelong experience of illness and stress is said to create a pattern of tangible physical constriction on the body. As an APM practitioner, Mary’s most essential goal in treatment is to locate and release such blockages to restore the body’s inherent ability to heal itself.

Mary specializes in treating chronic and acute pain, repetitive strain injuries, and stress-induced ailments. She is especially focused on women’s health issues, autoimmune disorders, and digestive complaints.
